The short version
This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics. Fonts and images are served from this website itself – your browser does not connect to Google or any other third party while you browse it. Personal data only reaches me when you write to me.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Fastmail Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Australia. Fastmail runs its own servers in the USA and in the EU. When you open the website, your browser automatically sends technical data, such as your IP address, the date and time of access and your browser type. Fastmail needs this data to deliver the website and to keep it secure. I can see the date and time of access and the browser type of visitors from the past two weeks. I do not use this data to identify anyone.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – my legitimate interest in a secure, working website. Transfers to countries outside the EU are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Fastmail’s data protection agreement.
When you write to me
The buttons “Write to me” and “Wanna know more?” open your own e-mail app. If you send me an e-mail, I use your details only to answer you and to talk about your project. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps before a contract) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (answering your message). My e-mails are stored with Fastmail. I delete them when they are no longer needed, unless tax or commercial law requires me to keep them.
Create by the sea updates
If you ask me to keep you posted about Create by the sea, I will only write to you about it. Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it anytime with a short e-mail – I will then delete your address from my list.
Links to other websites
This website links to Spotify, Instagram and Boogie Park Studio. Nothing is loaded from these services until you click a link. After that, their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive your data in a portable format (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
